Phil Elder

Phil is a born + bred New Zealander who has lived in the UAE for the last 15 years. Growing up he was a National level footballer and played many other sports at a high level, including Cricket, Volleyball, Golf, Tennis, Surfing and Running. These days he has turned his training to adventure based activities and can not get enough of trail running, obstacle course racing, mountain biking, road cycling, surf skiing, stand up paddle boarding, swimming and climbing. 


Some of his highlights and outstanding moments include summiting Kilimanjaro, finishing the insane Fiordland NZ Chapter of GODZone Adventure Race, Winner of Ice Warrior Challenge 2020, Many Elite and Age Group Winners Medals in Spartan Arabia, Oman by UTMB finisher, 2021 Ironman Finisher and so much more. 


Phil’s education background includes a Bachelors degree in Sports Science followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine through the University of Otago, New Zealand. In addition over the last 15 years he has completed multiple certifications in the health + fitness industry (ACE Certified Trainer, NASM Certified, FMS Level 1+2, SFMA certified, CFSC Level 1+2, Precision Nutrition, RehabTrainer, DNS to name a few). Apart from this he has spent many years as a Personal Training lecturer, master trainer and educator across the globe.


Currently he works as a Strength & Conditioning Coach helping his diverse range of clients to get much fitter, stronger and more agile. The ultimate outcome for his clients is being able to engage in activities they never thought they would be able to do. His specialties include rehab based strength + conditioning, training people through a range of movement limitations and injuries, sports specific programming. Everyone at all levels and ages will see great benefit from strength + conditioning.
